Jon Philibert was born in South London in 1948.
Jon is one of the UK’s most successful British
county songwriters in recent times having
notched up cuts on such Billboard-charting artists
as Bobby Bare, Jimmy Payne, Carmol Taylor and
Judy Lindsey. In 1983 Tom Jones recorded Jon’s
song "I've Been Rained On Too", a top ten country
smash becoming Jones’ longest ever country-
charting single staying on the Billboard charts for
an amazing and unprecedented 22 weeks. The
song has subsequently been recorded numerous
times including a version in 1988 by British
country superstar Charlie Landsborough.
Today Jon works with both UK and Nashville
