Respected country music journalist David Allan writes about Jill

Jordan Burke’s track

“Colleague Jon Philibert has also been taking a look back - some thirty-three years in fact to when he wrote a New Faces piece for this very magazine on an up-and-coming singer from Ohio, Jill Jordan Burke. ln the intervening years, Jon turned to songwriting (including the big Tom Jones hit l've Been Rained On Too) and the first one he penned with his writing partner Sue Bennett, was called What Do I Do (With All This Love). He and Sue spent years pitching this power ballad without success, until a few months ago when it was picked up and recorded by - Jill Jordan Burke “l suppose the takeaway from all this", says Jon, “is to just keep on persevering when you know something is good”. What Do I Do has been produced with a sure touch by Jack Mollette who was Ernest Tubb's guitarist for many years. lt's good, modern country - solid backings, a powerfully expressive and emotive performance by Jill and from-the-heart lyrics that many of us can identify with. ln short, it's the real McCoy.” Dave Allan
